Bharatanatyam Arangetram

Arangetram is a Tamil word which literally means ascending (Etram) the stage (Arangam).  It is meant to signify the beginning of a dancer’s career and the blossoming of a student into a full-fledged artist.

The student typically trains for several years, 8 to 10 years to complete an arangetram. The student learns what true commitment is and in the process develops the discipline to overcome physical and mental challenges to achieve a goal. This gives them a sense of accomplishment and prepares the student for real life where they are able to take on challenges with a can-do attitude.

HastaSwara offers other programs such as “Natya Samarpanam”  and “Sangeetha Samarpanam“. More information about these programs maybe found here.
