Shivakumar Jagadisan

A musician and a musicologist based in Northern Virginia, he is a disciple of Sangeetha Kalacharya Prof. S.R.Janakiraman. He runs a music school called Gamakam and specializes in thematic presentations in the DC area.

He have given concerts, lec-dems on various topics at music festivals. His unique music quizzes have received accolades at various cities in the US. He conducted a series of vadya vrindha concerts with young instrumentalists in the DC area.

To give back to the community, he teaches Tiruppavai and other devotional keethanams at SV Lotus temple every week. He was the co-ordinator of Thyagaraja Aradhana at SSVT for a few years. He has composed many kritis and has tuned many slokas and poems.

Professionally, he is a partner at a consulting/cloud services organization.
